Meet the Officers of Post 19
The American Legion holds elections every year for leadership roles that plan and execute the vison for the role of involvement that they have within the community. This page gives you a change to learn who these members are and what there role consist within the Post. If you would like a say on who is in leadership within the Post we encourage you to attend the meetings and we hold election in late Spring for the upcoming year.
Officers of Benton Post 19 for the 2026 Membership Year
Commander
Dallas Erdman
Plan and execute the operations of the Post throughout the year. Conducts the monthly meetings. Set up committees and appoints committee members.
Adjutant
Mary Erdman
Works the administrative portion of the Post activities. The point of contact for the membership. Keeps up with the minutes for the meetings, publications, and other tasks directed from the Commander.
1st Vice Commander
Nicolas Rego
Controls the 4 W's of planning. Who, what, when, where for meetings, events, and other Post functions. This officer deals with membership of the Post.
2nd Vice Commander
Vacant
Builds an atmosphere for the membership to have fun and enjoy meetings, events, and social gatherings.
Chaplin
Larry Hopkins
A person who is capable of moral and intellectual leadership. This officers attends all meetings, funerals, and events that require an opening and closing prayer.
Sgt-at-Arms
Danny Jones
Arranges the meeting hall and assists the other officers for events and ceremonies. Must know proper flag etiquette.
